The following is an update from Wessex Internet about the roll-out of their full-fibre broadband services in this area and is provided for information only:
“The planning phase of the project is ongoing, with changes being made as we progress. Ganges Close, for example, will now be dug, as per the message we delivered to the residents who came to the meeting before the Parish Council meeting.
Other roads that we will need to employ hard dig trenching on are: Orchard Rise, Butcher’s Hill, Millers Orchard and Stowey Road. We will update you as we get closer to building the network. Residents will of course be given notice of any roadworks that will affect their roads and all works are carried out with the relevant Council permits. Those people not being reached by this means will either be provisioned via overhead cable from a nearby BT pole (not the SSE poles) or via fibre coils left at the boundary of their property.”
