WW1 medals of (Albert) George Chorley – one of Fivehead’s Fallen

Councillor Pip Brett, who has conducted extensive research on the Fivehead War Memorial, has been notified that the Death Plaque, War Medal and Victory Medal belonging to (Albert) George Chorley who is listed on our War Memorial are up for sale on eBay for £220 (or best offer).

She wasn’t able to trace any of George’s direct relatives for our recent rededication ceremony; if you know of anyone locally who would want the medals, please let them know. The sale is running for another 26 days.
